The kids’ summer vacation has just started and already we are loving it*. Here’s what we’ve been up to so far…
School went right till June 30th and that had me saying WTH? I know it’s all a calculation on teaching days, but it just seemed.to.go.on.forever.
On Canada Day, July 1st, I was (wo)manning my booth at the Burlington Canada Day Festival. It was going great, until the charcoal sky opened up and forced the booth to come down. Before that, it was a great day for meeting new families and hearing great compliments from existing Active Parents fans. Events like these reaffirm how great our community is.
The next day was Sunday and the official start to our week of vacation. We drove up north to spend some time at the cottage.
We got to spend time with our friends from British Columbia who are also our cottage neighbours. Matt and his sister grew up with the girls next door, and now we all have kids who play together, so it’s a great way to spend a day.
A few days of sunshine, open water, blue skies and relaxing is just what everyone needs!
*Check back at the end of August and see if I feel the same.
